More weekends, will they ever stop!

The painting is 95% done. After scraping, muding, sanding, more mudding, more sanding, texture, then paining the walls, then painting the vanity. The blue tape pulled up some of the new paint off the vanity so I'll have to repaint that.

Went to see Charley on Friday night, after that is we went to Fry's and bought a damned A/C unit. Good weekend for that as I dont think it got under 90 all weekend. Our bedroom was 85+ degrees most nights when we were trying to sleep.

Saturday was spent painting on the bathroom, then Tugrik called up and wanted to see Fantasic Four so we went off and did that, then went to his place to watch PVR'ed Battlestar Galactica season premere. FF was kind lame in the whole backstory kinda movie way; just as it started making explosions, it ended. BSG on the other hand was full of story, pretty visuals, and reminders of Bab 5 in it's heyday.

Sunday was spent on final touchups in the bathroom and re-installing all the fixtures. I missed a call from CopperCheetah to go bicycle riding around 1pm but I got the bathroom done and grochery shopping also done, so we invited him and Jareth over for dinner and we all watched a horrible "Space Dragons" thing on Sci-fi that we had more fun picking the bad costumes and continuiety gliches in than actually watcing the plot. It also had John-Ryes Davies in it which added to the MST3K ness of the show.

Then we spent an hour watching Cat Cora get beat on Iron Chef America HAMBURGER battle!!!! Comeon guys, you spent at least a million dollars on the production of this show, you think you could spend some money on an exotic ingredient?! As much as I like hamburger, I think it's a bit fo a cop out for an Iron Chef show. Now KOBI BEEF hamburgers...Dat's something else entirely.

Not really, actually. My work cafeteria serves them and...Well...They're good but they're not all that.

Well, I've never had one so I wouldnt know. But from an Exotic stand point I thought it would be cool. I just thought hamburger was a bit too bland of an ingredient.

I agree with you on that point. The problem with Kobe beef in ground up form is that it really isn't any different than just have very non-lean ground beef. Besides, most of the Kobe beef in the world is actually grown here in California at Harris Ranch. It's wicketly expensive now because it has to be shipped to and from Japan in order to actually legally be called Kobe beef.

What a racket they have going on there.
